El Viejo del Valle Sauvignon Gris – Casablanca Valley

£9.99

You may not have tried Sauvignon Gris but there is something reassuringly recognisable in this essentially Polynesian style of Sauvignon Gris. Somewhere between Chile and New Zealand. It’s an aromatic cousin of Sauvignon Blanc but it retains the texture and structure of the Maule Valley. The nose gives you tropical fruit notes that marry beautifully with the fresh aroma of waxy lemons. An abundance of gooseberry, mango and melon fruit fill the senses when you taste it and the finish is elegant and long.

‘El Viejo del Valle’ or ‘The Old Man of the Valley’ celebrates the 1950s Chilean street graffiti.
