This case contains:
2 x Palazzi Catarratto, IGT Terre Siciliane 2018 – Italy
Ripe peach and tropical fruit aromas with a lightly herbal note. More stone fruit characters on the palate with hints of honey – finishing with fresh citrus acidity.
2 x False Bay ‘Slow’ Chenin Blanc, Coastal Region 2019 – South Africa
Wild yeast fermentation is key to this benchmark Chenin Blanc. The long wild yeast ferment provides bready aromas and additional complexity to the wine. Dried herbaceous notes, including fennel and aniseed from the nearby fynbos, dominate the nose, followed by a creamy lemon character. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, with great textural complexity, attributable to the long, slow wild yeast fermentation.
2 x Estampado White Blend 2019 – Argentina
A delicious easy drinking white with a label inspired by the strong graphic patterns of Argentine gaucho costumes. The vineyards high in the Andes enjoy cool night-time temperatures and snow-melt from the mountains, perfect for our white wine giving floral aromas and zesty flavours of citrus, peach and apricot.
2 x Strange Bru Fernao Pires, Western Cape 2018 – South Africa
Bright, tangy, textural with a gently fleshy thing, Fernao Pires was planted in ZA decades ago for production as brandy. Strange Bru (the weird brother in Afrikaans) celebrates the charms of a Portuguese cultivar finding its feet in a foreign field.
2 x Cape Heights Viognier, Western Cape 2019 – South Africa
The vineyard lizards love to bask in the warmth of the late summer sun, which slowly ripens the grapes to their full maturity, producing wines bursting with mouth-filling fruit flavours. Lazy Lizard offers a New World approach to an Old World wine and with such a wide range of easy-drinking varietals, something can be found to complement a range of dishes. Great on its own too. Classic Sauvignon gooseberry nose with added roundness and ripeness from these Languedoc sourced grapes. Crisp and dry with a lovely finish.
2 x Ancora Bianco, Garganega delle Venezie 2018 – Italy
Garganega is sourced from hillside vineyards on a single estate, at the eastern border of Soave Classico. This dry white has aromas of pear and apple with citrus notes. The palate is clean and crisp – yet with texture, including floral notes and hints of apricot and honeysuckle, with a lemony finish.
